The original shop, open six days a week Monday through Saturday is in the Wellgate area of Clitheroe and dates back to the early 1800’s. The market stall is on Clitheroe’s historic three day market and is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Retail manager Scott and his team aim to offer the best, freshest fish available in the British Isles, with early morning deliveries from Manchester’s wholesale fish market along with deliveries from some excellent local suppliers and producers.
A wonderful variety of seafood awaits you. From succulent fresh lobster and live langoustines to Scottish salmon, Cornish lemon sole, wild sea bass, turbot and halibut from the ice cold arctic seas. A magnificent array of smoked fish such as traditionally smoked Marrbury Scottish salmon and Arbroath Smokies, moist flaky hot smoked haddocks from the east coast of Scotland.
A wide range of products are available from the region when in season and don’t forget you can always give us a call to see what’s just been landed or for recipe ideas as both Scott and Oliver, who oversees the market stall, are keen cooks. We know there will be something there to tempt everyone.
